August 2003 Journal

Wow! What a show at Gluek’s in Minneapolis last night. My head is still ringing. Special thanks to my buddy Marc Retish, who has known me since I was twelve, and still asked me to play his club. It is always nice when you have a good crowd response in the big city blinking. Atom, Matt and Eric Straumanis played great. Eric also just recently cuts some super guitar tracks for me in the studio. It’s been good to hear that rock-n-roll guitar again.

Speaking of guitar slingers, Teddy Morgan is coming to Iowa City Friday, September 5th, and we will be playing the free outdoor Ped Mall show at 6:30pm and then at Gabe’s later that evening. Let the European warm-up begin…

I now have Johnson County Snow back in stock for your purchasing pleasure. In fact, for the first time in years, I have my entire catalog available at the same time. No one tells you in indy musician school how to keep your catalog in stock while trying to make new music. You can pick CDs up at shows, on the website, Miles of Music, CD Baby, etc.. Go to my discography page to order.

Making some progress again on my new recordings. The summer gig schedule has slowed me down lately but I’m making another recording push before the October European tour. Probably wrap it up around the end of the year and get it out for human consumption sometime next year.

That’s all I got this morning kids. The Labor Day bathroom painting/scraping project I have been putting off forever is calling. Keep your eye on the tourdates, I’ve got some fun shows coming up with old friends and new.
