Milk in Sunshine

Hello music friends,

My seventh album is coming along now. Official release date is October 21st and the new album will be called Milk in Sunshine. Both LP/CD will be available with extra goodies included in both formats. Really happy with the results and can’t wait to share the new sounds. Life is crazy busy and these things do take planning, so you’ll just have to wait a bit longer. I’ve got old friend and radio wiz Joe Swank from Bloodshot/Yep Roc Records on board to help promote the new album to about 150 NPR/Americana type radio stations. And here in Indy, I’ll be working on a video to coincide with the new album release. You will also see a web ad campaign…which seems appropriate for this digitally devalued music era we seem to be swimming through in 2014.

Enjoying my ongoing “TV Troubadour” status. The number of songs from my catalog being used in television has continued to increase each year since 2009. Many thanks to Bob at Black Toast Music for believing in my music and giving many of my songs a second life. My collaboration with Black Toast Music is the primary source of funding for the last couple albums. Keeping me both sane and in the music black, which is increasingly challenging for all musicians.

Lining up some Fall shows around the Midwest for album release. Looks like Indy, Madison and Iowa City are first up in October/November. And in September I’m heading to Alaska and will be playing the Tap Root Public House in Anchorage 9/11. Can’t wait to hit those highways and see that gorgeous last frontier state!

So Summertime will be busy wrapping up the new album, tending to an old house, fighting the good fight at NUVO…and laughing as much as possible!
