Turkey Day

Hello Kids and Happy Turkey Day weekend for those on this side of the ocean!

I’ll be doing my annual day after Thanksgiving show at The Sanctuary in Iowa City for those tired of shopping, family, and cooking. I’ve been doing this intimate little gig for more years now than I can remember. Guess that’s how you know you’re getting older….the memory is going fast.

Rudiger at Trocadero Records sent me home from Germany with a few more boxes of the very cool European version of House of Mud. So, if you’re looking for a great Christmas present, I should have these back up and available to buy on the website very soon. You can also order them by mail through my Contacts page.

What else… I’ll be going up to the fine music city of Minneapolis December 13th to play The Fine Line. I’ve heard it’s a cool club and I’ll get to meet some other Minnesota bands on a large Saturday night bill. I love that city. If it wasn’t so damn cold, I would probably be living there. It’s cold enough in Iowa for me.

Been slowly putting together a new local band to start working up some of these new tunes I’m recording. Eric Straumanis, Chris Poma, and Bill Neff will be the latest edition. I just got a pretty lime green Fender Stratocaster with a whammy bar that I have been trying to learn to play. Be afraid…be very afraid…

It looks like I’ll be doing a New Year’s Eve gig with the mighty Joe Price at The Mill in Iowa City. Like the Magic Bus gig… every year I think no more New Year’s Eve shows…..then as it gets closer I end up saying yes anyway. Should be fun. I haven’t seen Joe Price in quite awhile and if you like the blues, it just doesn’t get any better. Seriously. Nice to have The Mill back as well.

Okay…gotta get back to work…see ya soon…
