Water & Ice

There’s a quote by Voltaire that I’m fond of….“Men talk, nature acts.” The natural tsunami disaster of the past week certainly puts our little personal problems in proper perspective. Nature seems to have a way of showing us who is boss and putting us in our place from time to time.

On a much smaller scale, the Midwest just got hit with ice storms. A doctor friend of mine in Wisconsin was telling me a story about a 12 year old girl who lost her mother in a 32 car pile-up and had no where to go. She had to wait for grandparents to fly in and retrieve her. Life is so fragile and precious and can change in the wink of an eye. It’s easy to get so wrapped up in our own little dramas that we forget that sometimes I think.

If you’re reading this. Thank you for sharing part of your life with me. Believe me, I’m feeling the love these days. Now go hug your kid, or call your folks, or kiss your partner. There’s no better time…and time is precious.
In peace,
