Lyrics

Call My Mom

I should call my Mom, ‘cause it’s been too long
Now that I’m all grown, I don’t get back home
But she loves me still, ‘cause she knows I’m ill
Got that fever for thrills and crawling up long hills

Didn’t come from much, but there was more than enough
We had shoes on our feet, lots of food to eat
It came from our ground, with lots of family around
Mama’s dinner call was the sweetest sound

Now the time it just goes, it used to move so slow
Summer would last so long, it’d drag on and on
Yeah I should call my Mom, ‘cause it’s been too long
Now that I’m all grown I still miss my home…
