Rolling into a crazy March friends. Doesn't feel like the normal basketball crazed, Spring Break, Corona on the beach season (pun intended). Like a lot of humans on the globe right now, the coronavirus is starting to dominate my life and travel plans. I've been lucky to be surrounded by doctors for a lot of years now and our health care system may be overwhelmed soon. In America, the exponential math would indicate that COVID19 cases will continue to increase. We should probably buckle up for a bumpy two month ride. Here's my best advice for folks that are fearful right now. Follow the WHO and the CDC online for accurate information. The scientists are the experts, not the politicians.
Hand washing is always important, but we also need to focus on overall healthy lifestyle practices. Avoiding poor nutrition, smoking, excessive drinking, all of which can weaken the immune system. Get plenty of sleep, drink plenty of water. This is a time to take care of yourselves people! And try to check in on older friends/neighbors who may be isolated or lack support. Not everyone does alone time well, but alone time may be the safest practice. Breathe in, Breathe out. Read. Sing. Write songs. Write letters. Binge Netflix, Logoff and Vote:)
Take good care! KP
